There is a hype in the market about HR and AI. Ian Bailie takes us through both Hype and Reality of AI’s effect on Human resources in the video below. He starts by explaining how consumer technology evolved over the course of years from the time LinkedIn was launched to the start of Smartphone usage. Then how other apps such as Instagram, Airbnb, Uber, and Snapchat launched to target the computer in pockets. Just to see how none of these platforms existed 15 years ago.

He talks about how the Artificial Intelligence has entered our homes through algorithms in the back-end of Amazon and Netflix and changing expectations of the workforce. As per the survey many of the employees believe that AI won’t be getting used at the work in near future but many of them have said they are already using through different means.  

AI is transforming how companies recruit, many small vendors and startups are coming up with software using algorithms. They are using it to write job descriptions to make them look more gender-neutral and friendly.
